A cross between a Pomeranian and a Toy Poodle, the Pomapoo is a tiny dog that maxes out in weight at 15 pounds. Its small size makes families with young children ill advised because it can be injured easily with heavy-handed kiddos. As with any designer dog breed, the Pomapoo can inherit any combination of genetic traits from both lineages, so research the breeder and try to get to know the dog before you put a lot of money down. Ideally, your Pomapoo will be affectionate, low-key and friendly. This breed tends to be relatively easy to train with positive reinforcement and makes quite a pleasant companion.
