At Indiana’s Wolf Park, researchers point to scent-rolling as a core canine behavior

While the act can appear purely recreational, the pattern documented at the Indiana research facility points to a communicative function beneath the surface behavior. Such behaviors are deeply ingrained, and understanding them can enhance the bond between dogs and their humans.
