A cross between a Saint Bernard and a Poodle, the Saint Berdoodle is chockfull of love, intelligence and affection. Remember that with any designer dog breed, any percentage of the lineages can show up, so whether you have a more lively Poodle or docile Saint Bernard will vary by individual. Ideally, your Saint Berdoodle will be smart, energetic and ready to socialize both with human visitors and canine friends at the dog park. You’ll need to brush him or her regularly, and still expect shedding, but overall this breed’s maintenance is pretty low-key. If you have kids, they’ll love your dog as much as it loves them. Sadly, be prepared for this large breed’s short lifespan of only 6 – 10 years.
