Pugs are the darlings of the lapdog world and known by all who love them as the ultimate companion dog. They are affectionate and fun-loving, loyal and devoted, and they don’t require a lot of maintenance in the forms of walks or grooming. Pugs are happiest when hanging out with their families and dishing out affection in the same high doses with which they receive it. Owners shouldn’t expect their Pug to be a jogging partner, and because of their flat faces, Pugs need to be kept in air conditioning in anything hotter than 80 degrees. These markedly good-natured toy dogs seem to have been bred to perfection by the Chinese Imperials who favored them, and today’s owners continue to appreciate them.
