Created in the United States from the Smooth Fox Terrier, the Toy Fox Terrier is a tried and true terrier – they have a lively spirit, high intelligence, and make a wonderful family companion. This breed is very protective and loyal to their family. Their large bark makes them great watch dogs but they can be aloof with strangers, so early socialization is key. The Toy Fox Terrier loves to be around their family. They have a lot of energy and are eager to please but they are independent thinkers and have a mind of their own. Though they can get along with children if socialized properly, families with younger children are not advised due to the Toy Fox Terriers smaller size. They sometimes like to challenge dogs much larger than them and tend to chase smaller animals, so early socialization and training is required. This breed is very intelligent and will train rather easily. If you’re looking for a small, energetic, loving breed, the Toy Fox Terrier is for you!< p>
