Originally bred as sled dogs in Siberia, the Husky is an independent and intelligent breed. They are generally an affectionate breed that gets along well with everyone – from other dogs to children to intruders! They do love attention but can entertain themselves if necessary. However, the Husky can be stubborn and are not overly concerned with pleasing people so early and consistent training is absolutely necessary. Huskies have the uncanny ability to escape from the most inescapable places – they definitely need a securely fenced yard.
