If you are considering getting a Siberian Husky, you'll want to check out the incredible book "The Complete Guide to Siberian Huskies". It's written in an easy-to-understand way but still has the expert knowledge to help any new owner successfully raise their Siberian Husky from puppy to old-age. It's widely available, so pick up a copy if you see one, or click here to grab one on Amazon.
Originally bred as sled dogs in Siberia, the Husky is an independent and intelligent breed. They are generally an affectionate breed that gets along well with everyone – from other dogs to children to intruders! They do love attention but can entertain themselves if necessary. However, the Husky can be stubborn and are not overly concerned with pleasing people so early and consistent training is absolutely necessary. Huskies have the uncanny ability to escape from the most inescapable places – they definitely need a securely fenced yard. Aside from their stubbornness and escape artist abilities, the Husky is a wonderful and spirited breed that will add joy to any family!
