The Vizsla was originally bred in Hungary as a pointer and retriever. Sometimes called the “Velcro Vizsla”, this breed loves nothing more than to be around their family all the time. But, the Vizsla is also a hard-working dog that loves to have a job to do. They require plenty of exercise and would do best with an active family. An intelligent breed, the Vizsla is a quick learner. Their protective nature and desire to “talk” make them great watchdogs. Their need for human attention makes them prone to separation anxiety if left alone for long periods of time. Vizslas do well with children as well as other dogs and even cats, if raised with them. If you’re looking for true companion, look no further than the Vizsla.
