Bred in Tibet as a watchdog and companion, the Tibetan Spaniel is an intelligent and alert breed. They are an active breed with an attentive and sweet nature. They love their families but can be aloof with strangers. Tibbies, as they are sometimes called, make great watchdogs thanks to protective nature. They are intelligent but can be stubborn, so early and consistent training is necessary. Tibetan Spaniels get along well with children, but young children should be supervised due to the Tibbies small size. They also do well in homes with other dogs and pets. Tibbies love to be in high places – you can usually find one perched on the piece of furniture with the best view. If you’re looking for a breed with a sweet yet alert nature, the Tibetan Spaniel is for you!< p>
