The Teacup Yorkie is a miniature Yorkshire Terrier. A typical Teacup Yorkie weighs anywhere between one and three pounds, but will not normally weigh more than four pounds. The teacup Yorkie has the same characteristics as the Yorkshire Terrier. They are a small dog with a big personality and have a feisty yet affectionate demeanor. They are a loyal breed that make great watch dogs – barking at anything they deem suspicious. They love to be around their families and can suffer from separation anxiety if left alone for too long. They are also great at picking up on your emotions. The teacup Yorkie’s extra-small size make them perfect apartment dogs but not great dogs for families with young children. Their size also makes them more susceptible to injuries like fractures and broken bones. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pup with a big personality, the teacup Yorkie is perfect for you!
