Bred as a hunter of small prey, the Silky Terrier is confident and loyal. They are bold spirited and much tougher than the look. True to terrier form, the Silky Terrier makes a great watchdog thanks to their tenacious personality and bark. They also love to dig and chase smaller animals or even other dogs. The Silky Terrier is a devoted breed and loves to be around their family – so much so that they do not do well being left alone for long periods of time. Though small in size, they do need a fair amount of exercise. If socialized early with children and other dogs, they will get along with them, but young children should be supervised due to their small size. The devoted and spirited Silky Terrier will make a great addition to any family!< p>
