Bred in Wales to hunt otters, badgers, and foxes, the Sealyham Terrier (or Sealie) is known for their good-humored and self-confident nature. They were once the most popular terrier breed, but they are not as common today. Contrary to their terrier heritage, the Sealyham Terrier is actually not super active. They are, however, always ready to play and have a great sense of humor. Their pack mentality allows them to get along well with other dogs. They love their families but can be weary of strangers. Though intelligent, the Sealyham Terrier can be stubborn - early and consistent training is certainly necessary. This self-assured yet clownish breed will bring joy to any family! In fact, many owners of Sealyham Terriers say they are like potato chips – you can’t have just one.
