Rottweiler Rescue Organizations In All States

If you are considering getting a Rottweiler, you'll want to check out the incredible book "The Complete Guide to Rottweilers". It's written in an easy-to-understand way but still has the expert knowledge to help any new owner successfully raise their Rottweiler from puppy to old-age. It's widely available, so pick up a copy if you see one, or click here to grab one on Amazon.

The Rottweiler may look bad to the bone, and can be, but overall, a well-socialized Rottweiler is a wonderful pet for many households. Like the Pitbull, Rottweilers carry the burden of a vicious stereotype, mostly accumulated because of unsavory owners’ training. This smart breed’s innate tendencies are for loyalty, intelligence and watchfulness, and they love – and need – a well-defined job (it’s no coincidence police forces love this breed). Bred as a herding dog, Rottweilers are a bit careless with their bulky frames, so family members need to be able to stand up to their weight. Owners should be ready to deliver at least a couple of 20-minute walks a day, and engage their Rottweilers’ minds as well, with puzzle games or training exercises.
