Known for being the smallest of the working terriers, the Norfolk Terrier was developed in England. These dogs have been called fearless and were initially used to get rid of rats and mice in barns. They are pack dogs, and are used to working with other dogs. They can live anywhere from 8 years to even 14. Some dogs are predisposed to diseases as is common for this breed. Luxating patella and teeth problems are common with this small breed. They must be groomed from time to time, needing their coats stripped in the fall and spring to remove dead hair.
