Morkie Rescue Organizations In All States

If you are considering getting a Morkie, you'll want to check out the incredible book "The Complete Guide to Morkies". It's written in an easy-to-understand way but still has the expert knowledge to help any new owner successfully raise their Morkie from puppy to old-age. It's widely available, so pick up a copy if you see one, or click here to grab one on Amazon.

The Morkie is a combination of a Maltese and a Yorkshire terrier. They are not recognized by the AKC, and are considered a new hybrid of dog. They need plenty of exercise to stay healthy, ideal choices including tracking, hunting, agility, and obedience. Since they are small, they can thrive in environments such as apartments, doing well as city dwelling pets. They love children and enjoy playing with them, so they would be considered an ideal family dog. They do shed and require daily grooming in order to keep their coats well-maintained. New owners will find a handful if not properly trained and socialized.
