Maltese Rescue Organizations In All States

Intelligent and fearless, the Maltese is a tried and true companion dog. This pint-sized breed is a devoted family dog and loves nothing more than to be around you – so much so that they suffer from separation anxiety when left alone for long periods of time. They make a great watchdog and will alert you if a stranger is near. The Maltese is intelligent and will learn quickly when trained early and consistently. Though small in size, they do have quite a bit of energy and require some exercise. Because of their size, the Maltese is not recommended for families with small children but with proper socialization and supervision, they make wonderful family companions.
