Their intelligence and innate desire to please makes them a breeze to train – if you can keep their mischievous side in check. Their inquisitive nature makes them good watchdogs but they are generally quiet dogs. With the word “water” in their name, the Irish Water Spaniel does, in fact, love to swim. They actually have webbed feet which helps them in the water. With the proper socialization and training, this friendly and fun-loving breed will make a perfect family companion.
