Outgoing and inquisitive, the Fox Terrier was originally bred to help hunters flush out foxes. Being a terrier, they have an energetic and bold personality. Fox Terriers love to play – especially with children – and are very loyal to their families. They may take time to get along with other dogs, but with early socialization should be able to live peacefully with them. Fox Terriers love to explore and dig, so a securely fenced yard is an absolute necessity. Their intelligence makes them great candidates for training, but early and consistent training is necessary due to their strong-willed terrier nature. With their outgoing and confident personalities, the Fox Terrier can make a great family member for the right family.
