The ultimate companion dog, the English Toy Spaniel is a relatively unknown breed that probably deserves more popularity. Stoic and dignified, its heritage traces back to the courts of royals, and its inherent devotion hasn’t changed much since. Known as a bit of a shadow, the English Toy Spaniel will follow closely at the heels of its owners throughout the house. It has an intense pack mentality and prefers to be with an owner at all times, making it best suited for a home that has an owner home during the day, or even better—owners who can take the little guy to work with them! The breed has a low threshold for heat, but that’s OK because it also needs very little exercise.
