Chow Chow Rescue Organizations In All States

With origins in China, the Chow Chow is an ancient breed that still exists today. These dogs are most noted for their famous tongue, which is a purple or bluish-black color. They are fiercely loyal to family members and may become aggressive with strangers. Although they are a larger dog, they can live in an apartment just fine, provided they are given exercise daily. The Chow Chow can be very stubborn, and it is best to train and work with them on a consistent basis, so they know the owner or handler is in charge. Because of their thick coats, they require a great deal of grooming in the spring and fall, as their coat starts to shed.
