Canaan Dog Rescue Organizations In All States

The Canaan Dog originates from Israel, and is known for having a primitive look. As far as their temperament, they keep a watchful eye on strangers and are very vocal. These are ideal family dogs since they love children, but will take a preference to their people over anyone they do not know. Canaan Dogs are extremely intelligent, and need lots of exercise and different forms of play. They can become bored easily. Although they can be found running wild in Israel, they are easy to domesticate and train, and can even be used in herding. This breed is healthy, with no known predispositions or problems.
