Confident and intelligent, the Black Russian Terrier is a fairly new and rare dog breed. They adore their families and love to be where the action is. Their fierce protective nature makes them great guard dogs. Though they can be reserved with strangers, they are amazing family dogs. They love to play with kids and crave human attention – so much so that leaving them alone for long periods of time can be problematic. A highly intelligent breed, the Black Russian Terrier will learn quickly. But, they can have a stubborn streak so consistent yet firm training is necessary. Their stubbornness, extreme intelligence, and large size make them best suited for experienced dog owners.< p>
