Black Lab Rescue Organizations In All States

If you are considering getting a Labrador Retriever, you'll want to check out the incredible book "The Complete Guide to Labrador Retrievers". It's written in an easy-to-understand way but still has the expert knowledge to help any new owner successfully raise their Labrador Retriever from puppy to old-age. It's widely available, so pick up a copy if you see one, or click here to grab one on Amazon.

The Black Labrador Retriever is one of four colors of the ever-popular Labrador Retriever. This breed is friendly, intelligent, and energetic. They are people-oriented and love to be around their families. Originally bred in Newfoundland to help local fisherman, today the Lab is more of a companion than a working dog. Their intelligence makes them easy and eager to train and their sweet demeanor makes them wonderful therapy dogs. But, that sweet demeanor makes them useless watchdogs. They are far more likely to greet a stranger rather than scare them away. They are great family dogs and get along with well children and other dogs. But, due to their size, early training and socialization is necessary. This happy go lucky and intelligent dog is a great addition to any family.
