A loyal and friendly breed, the Bernese Mountain Dog is a working dog originally from Switzerland. A hard-worker, the Bernese Mountain Dog is extremely good-mannered, affectionate, intelligent and eager to please. They can be goofy when they play and is a true family dog. They love children of all ages and love to be a part of the family.
The Bernese Mountain Dog loves to learn and is easily trainable thanks to their working dog genes. Due to their large size, early training and socialization is recommended. They can also be slow to mature and many tend to act like a puppy well into their adolescent years. Overall the Bernese Mountain Dog is an intelligent, good-natured, wonderful family dog.
