Belgian Sheepdog Rescue Organizations In All States

Devoted and alert, the Belgian Sheepdog was originally bred in Belgium as a sheep herding dog. Of the four types of Belgian shepherd dogs, the Belgian Sheepdog is the solid-colored variety. This breed is both a working dog and a family dog. If exercised properly, the Belgian Sheepdog makes a great family companion. A loving and loyal breed, they are protective over their families but their strong herding instinct makes them prone to chasing after smaller animals or even children. If socialized properly, they get along great with other dogs as well as cats. The Belgian Sheepdog is both loving and energetic but they can be sensitive and strong-willed. If trained early enough, they make great family dogs.< p>
