The Beagle is quite a popular dog breed. They are small-sized dogs that usually weigh under 10 kilograms and don't grow taller than 41 centimeters. This breed is even tempered and very gentle. They also get excited easily. They were developed for hunting purposes originally due to their excellent ability to pick up scents, but can also be a great family dog. Beagles are very similar in appearance to foxhounds, but they are much smaller. The Beagle usually lives for 12 to 15 years and originated from Great Britain.
