The Afghan Hound is a large dog breed. They are part of the hound family, but are distinguished from other hounds by their silky, thick coat. They also feature a ring curl at the end of their tails. The Afghan Hound adapts easily to different living situations and is a good choice for the novice owner. They are affectionate and are also child-friendly. These dogs get along with other dogs and they are quite friendly towards strangers. While the Afghan Hound is usually quiet, they may become disruptive when left unattended for long periods. Regular exercise is also important for this breed.< p>
